In this lesson, ss learn adjectives about character. The lesson starts with a mini test. This is followed by vocabulary teaching by PPT. After that they practice the target vocabulary items and if there is time, they play a game.

Main Aims

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

The T greets the sts and asks how they are. After that she asks the sts whether they remember her name and then she tries to remember the sts' names.

Test #1 (5-7 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

The teacher gives sts a worksheet (Appendix 1) asking them to put the adjectives in the correct category as positive or negative. After they finish, they chech the answers with their pair. After that the T gives WC FB.

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

The teacher uses a power point to teach the target vocabu├žaries. First she shows pictures related to the words and asks sts to guess the word. After that she drills the pronunciation. Later she checks the concept by asking CCQs. Later she shows the spelling by writing it on the board and points out the stress. If the word is too absrract to elicit by using picture, she uses context to elicit the word.

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

The t gives sts a worksheet (Appendix 2). To do the worksheet, sts are expected to complete the sentences by using the target vocabulary presented in the box.After that they check their answers with their partner then t the T gives WC FB.

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

The T asks sts to choose six adjective three of which are ture and three are false about them. they write them on a piece of paper and then swap the paper with their partner. After that they try to guess which ones are true which ones are false about their partner. After that the T asks them to share the true and false information about their partners with whole class. I f there is extra time they play a gmae. The T divides the class into two and asks them to come to the board. The T reads the definition about adjectives and sts delete the adjective form the board. The faster one gets the point.
