Description

In this lesson, students learn times. The lesson starts with some questions that include times to give students an idea about lesson topic. This is followed by pair and group activities that students speak, listen and read. Finally, it ends with a game that evaluate if students understand the lesson.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To elicit topic and engage students

T will ask some question includes times. T-S task feedback (elicit the topic)

Pre-Listening/Speaking (2-3 minutes) • To introduce related words to the students.

T will show them a clock and calendar They listen and repeat the new words

Pre-Reading (2-3 minutes) • To introduce related words to the students.

T will give the Ss HO and get the students to put them in the correct order. Check in pairs.

Pre-Reading (2-3 minutes) • To attract students attention to the topic.

T will show pictures with times. Elicit some guesses about pictures. Check in pairs.

Gist reading (3-4 minutes) • To provide student with the time phrases

T will get the students in pair and ask them to match the times of the pictures with the words Check in pairs.

Detailed Reading/Speaking (2-3 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging information

T will show slide and drill the students in time phrases.

Detailed Reading/Speaking (2-4 minutes) • To provide student with the time phrases

T shows Ss a clock and calendar and drill the Ss in time phrases.

Writing Activity (3-4 minutes) • To get the student to practice time

T will give Ss HO and get them to fill in the blanks. Check in pairs.

Detailed-Listening (3-4 minutes) • To provide the students more challenging detailed listening

Game (2-3 minutes) • To make sure if the students understand the topic.

T gives HO that includes blanked clocks. T get them in group as a team. T gives them HO and show them a slide that contains time phrases.
