Procedure (57-90 minutes)

Warmer (15-20 minutes) • Ice-Breaker Game 1

Draw your name! Students get up and guess the pictures/names

Ball Game (15-20 minutes) • Ice-breaker Game 2

Imaginary ball. 1. Students introduce themselves with an adjective of the same starting letter 2. Students say 1 thing they like/dislike 3. Tell me something interesting about yourself.

Introduction of the Topic (3-5 minutes) • Introduce Ss to the Topic

In pairs, answer the following questions (T to write on WB) 1. Do you have a large family? 2. How many of you live together? 3. Do you have a favourite family member? WCF

Pre-Teach Vocabulary (3-5 minutes) • Prepare Students for reading

Elicit answers from Ss. Explain using pictures and WB for clarification. Spoilt only child divorced adopted half brother loving remarried stepsister

Reading 1 (3-5 minutes) • Reading for Gist

Reading 2 (8-15 minutes) • Reading for details and answer the questions (2 and 3, p.6)
