To provide clarification and practice of wish clauses in the context of past regrets
To provide fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a conversation in the context of regrets
Procedure (33-50 minutes)
T will play a calm music from Youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jegefnW_Zo ) Ss will close their eyes and start to think about 3 things that didn't happen in the past and how they are regret it. e.g. I wish I had been at Enrique Iglesias' concert last week. I wish I could speak Korean
Ss will make a full sentences of their 3 regrets in their HO. During the writing session, T will monitor the Ss and grab some sentences and write on the WB.
T will do some correction on the WB about the sentences that comes from the Ss ( If it is necessary ) and introduce the TL in the concept of meaning, form & Pronunciation
Ss will complete the exercises 1-2-3 on their HO Feedback : Ss will check their answer with their partners and as a whole class elicit the answers.
Ss will work with a group of 3 and think about possible story behind each picture. Ss will make a sentence starting with I wish.... or If only......
T will introduce the game 'grass skirt' which is a kind of error correction game. Ss will split into 2 groups and they'll start to compete each other to find the wrong sentences that are given on the paper around the class.
