To provide specific information listening practice using a text about weather forecast
Procedure (43-56 minutes)
Teacher starts the class and talks about his weather preference. Teacher sets a small task and asks ss to work in pairs and tell your partner about the weather he/she likes. Ss work in pairs. Teacher takes feedback.
Teacher will explain the task of video watching. Teacher will give instructions. Teacher will provide the handouts of task. Students will watch the video at least twice to get the target language. Ss will discuss the answers with their peers. Teacher will take general feedback.
Teacher will ask students how they ask questions about the weather and what can be the possible answer. Teacher will elicit answer of 'what's the weather like and it's hot'. Teacher will make correction if necessary.
Teacher will explain the main activity which is to come up on wb and give a small presentation about the weather. Ss will be divided into pairs. Teacher will explain the task and will do a short demonstration. Teacher will do icqs and will give flash cards,instruction paper and maps. Ss will work in pairs and will prepare the presentation Each group will come up and stick flash cards on the board and will present a short weather report. Teacher will monitor the activity and will write some general mistakes of students.
Teacher will describe how did the main activity go, Teacher will point out some errors and will give some corrections. Teacher will give some constructive feedback and will ask students about their self reflection.
