Procedure (38-29 minutes)
T will writes on the WB Films, Books, Music Students will discuss with their partner Which one do you like most ? Why?
The Ss stand up and ask each other questions that are given in their HO
The Ss will listen to the recording and and categorize each conversation as books (B),films(F) or music (M) CCQ's:How many conversations you are going to listen to? 7 Will they be short or long conversations ? short Feedback: Check in pairs, and a whole class elicit T will asks What clue helped them decide what the people were talking.
Focus the Ss attention on the table in their HO and point out that there are three colums of words. The Ss will fill out the each column with the words that they've just heard from the listening.(some may fit in more than one column ) The Ss will write the correct heading above each column. The Ss will stand up and fiil int the blanks on the WB As a whole class drill and repeat the words that they've just learned CCQ's: Can we put the same word in different categories?Yes
Genres: Action films, comedies, gangsters, horror, love stories, romantic comedy, science fiction, animation, thriller, war and western films. The Ss will stand up and match the pictures (some famous films )into the genres that are given on the WB FB: as as whole class drill and if they don't know the meaning provide a clarification
T will hand out small pieces of questions to the Ss and want them to talk about with partners. FB: delayed error correction in the end of the class
