To provide clarification and practice of verb be in the context of jobs and personal information
To provide specific information during listening practice using a text about personal information in the context of jobs
Procedure (26-37 minutes)
Teacher will post flash cards of nationalities on the W.B.T will divide students into groups and call one from each group to stand at the front of the class in a row.T will say the name of the country and Ss will go and grab the correct flash card.
T will say the word "job "and point to her self .Students will respond by saying "Teacher". T will show the worksheet with pictures of different jobs.Teacher will elicit from the student Whats number 1? Students will check and respond. Teacher will ask the students to work in pairs and match the words in the box with the pictures. Before the feed back.Ask them to work in pairs and ask and answer the following questions. What's his Job? He is a _______________ she is a ____________ Feed back in pairs.
T will first clarify the up coming vocabulary in the listening task by writing on the board and explaining using visuals and prompts. After that T will make the students familiar with the names in the Listening Task by writing on WB.Teacher will drill and repeat T will show worksheet no 2 ( listen and match the pictures ) .T will elicit the names given on the page and will ask about the other pictures .Students will respond in no.Teacher will tell them listen and match the names with the pictures. Teacher will ask the students to discuss the answers in pairs and then she will take feed back.
T will show the worksheet and will explain the example by doing a demo .Students will listen and complete the worksheet. Teacher will ask the students to work in pairs to check answers.Feed will be taken after they discuss.
T will do write three examples of Wh questions then get SS to fill out the worksheet in pairs.Check answers in Feed back .
