Teaching practice 1
Upper Intermediate level

In this lesson, students get to practice listening for gist, specific information and detail in the context of genealogy. The lesson starts with a lead-in activity about a German national player who is originally from Turkey and about his family's tree. This is followed by a gist listening activity where students predict answers to some questions. After that they will listen for more specific information but before that they will get to learn some new words that are used in the audio. Finally there is a language review where students get to brush up their grammar and then they will have a freer activity about their family tree.
