Telling an anecdote reusing the target language
Procedure (35-47 minutes)
I'll ask the students to close their eyes and think about their past eating habits for 2 minutes. Then I'll ask them to write down their sentences on a paper. Then they will discuss their sentences with their partner.mean while , I'll write 2 incomplete sentences with "used to" & "would".
I'll draw their attention to the WB and I'll ask them to complete my sentences on the board.Then I'll start asking concept check questions to let them figure out the usage them selves(Is it a state or an action? Is it in present or past? etc...). After that, I'll ask them to check their own sentences with their partner.
I'll give them the HOs and I'll ask them to analyze the sentences in ex.2 with their pair and rewrite them using TL.then the answers will be checked in the whole class.
we'll listen to a listening and the students will answer the questions and check them with their partner (Whole class check). Then they'll have some minutes to talk about their past habits with their partner. Then I'll ask from each pair :"what have u learned about your partner's habits?".
