Description
In this lesson, students will practice reading skill. The lesson starts with lead-in and teacher ask some questions about shoping and famous makers of their city to make them interested in the topic. Students will learn some vocabulary through matching with pictures. Then they will listen for gist and detail. Finally they will write a short parag rap about a market they know.

Procedure (11-16 minutes)
Warm_up (5-7 minutes) • To set the context and create interest in the topic
Put some pictures of popular markets in Istanbul on the board. Ask students to come to the board and tell what these pictures are about. Elicit the word "market or shopping mall" Then, ask students some questions: Do you like shopping? Why? What is your favorite market? What can you buy there?
