In this lesson, students will practice scanning a text in the context of different kinds of lies. The lesson will start with a discussion of different kinds of lies, mentioned in a listening. Sts will then read of text on a computer program that can detect lies. Sts will reread the text looking for specific answers to questions. Sts will read two emails and debate who is lying. Sts will end with freer practice discussing lying.
