A1/a2 level

By the end of this lesson students are going to differentiate between the quantifiers much, many and a lot of. The context for this lesson is furniture in my house, food and one's consumption habits.

Pre-intermediate level

In this lesson sts will learn about the countable & uncountable nouns, quantifiers based on the reading text they read the previous lesson. The lesson starts with some vocabulary of the previous lesson. The countable uncountable nouns (the difference between them) are supposed to be realized by the sts. And then they will be given some handouts for group and pair works so as to have the form, meaning and pronunciatin of the quantifiers well.

In this lesson, students are introduced to quantifiers. The teacher presents and elicits the target language through a series of activities after which there is controlled and possibly semi-controlled practice of the target language. The lesson then moves to freer practice, where students use the TL to discuss their neighborhoods.

In this lesson, students will learn about countable-uncountable nouns in the context of eating in or out. They will also learn about some quantifiers such as 'some', 'any', 'a lot of'. This is followed by a listening exercise where they will practice the quantifiers. Finally, students will have a freer practice about what they liked and didn't like as a young child.

In this lesson, the students will learn about the quantifiers through “Present, Practice and Produce” based method " as well as the "guided discovery method" in the context of shopping. This id followed by a conterolled activity (3p89). Then, there a semi-controlled speaking activity (1-4 p 89).

Intermediate level

In this lesson, students learn about quantifiers through guided discovery based on listening text about visiting the desert. The lesson starts with a discussion about visiting the desert. This is followed by a listening task in which students fill in gaps with quantifiers. Then they identify the target language through highlighting it in the previous task. Finally, there is some controlled practice and freer practice on the target language followed by language/content feedback.
