Main Aims

Procedure

Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will share Google slides and ask following 2 questions to my Ss. 1. What do you eat in the morning? 2. Do you do exercise everyday? I will make Break Out Rooms and monitor. Content Preparation (2-3 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

I will ask Ss about some examples of 'routine'. -What do you 'always' do in the morning? -What do you 'always' do in the night? I will show some pictures to elicit answers from Ss. CCQ: What do you do in the morning? - I brush my teeth. I eat breakfast. etc.. What time do you get up? Why do you get up at 〇..? Language preparation (11-12 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

<Meaning > (3min) I will ask Ss to match the usage of 'What time..?' , 'When..?' and 'Where' to the correct meaning (a-b). (1-4) 1 When do you get up at the weekend? 2 Where do you go on Sunday? 3 What time do you study English in the week? 4 Where do you have dinner in the week? (a-b) a To ask the time b To ask the place I will let Ss answer these questions individually fast, but I won't take more than 1 minute. Then, Ss check their answers in pairs. I will use private messages on the box. (1~2min) CCQ: Do we ask 'where' to make our schedule timetable? - No. Do you use 'what time' to manage our meeting place? - No. Which is the correct answer of 'Where do you go on Sunday?' - 'I go to the gym on Sunday, or It's 6 a.m. - 'I go to the gym' After that, OCFB. <Form> (3min) I will ask Ss to match (1-3) to the correct structure (a-b) (1-3) 1 Where do you work? 2 When do you finish work? 3 What time do you get home? (a-b) a Question word + Subject b Subject + Question word I will let Ss to send their answers on the chat, then, I will nominate some Ss to check understanding. Ss use private chat to share their answers. CCQ: Do we say 'you get home what time?' - No. Which word is more important, where or you? - The word 'where' is more important. <Pronunciation> (5min) Where do you live? Where do you work? What time do you get up? I will play the CD, so my Ss will listen carefully. I will model pronunciation for Ss and cover stress. I will pronounce these sentences once individually, and Ss drill the pronunciation chorally twice. Controlled Practice (11-12 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

I will let Ss to ask questions about people's routines in the week. I will encourage Ss to use 'What time do you..?' , 'When do you...?' , 'Where do you...?' I will show some examples, so Ss can talk easily. I will make Break Out rooms for Ss to share their ideas, and I will monitor them. Freer Practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

I will introduce 'find someone who...' game for Ss. Ss will find someone who 1. gets up at 7 a.m. in the morning 2. goes to supermarket on Sunday 3. has lunch at 1.00 in the week I will encourage them to use 'when' 'where' 'what time' to find these person. I will make Break Out Rooms for Ss. Ss will communicate. I will monitor my Ss. After that, I will nominate some Ss to share their ideas.
