Possessive adjectives

Elementary level

In this lesson the students will learn about possessive adjectives by rewriting sentences and reading a dialogue. They will also be given a chance to have a go at controlled speaking by talking to their class fellows. The lesson will start with a quick reminder of what they listened to in the last lesson and then possessive adjectives will be explained and rules elicited for them.They will do four exercises on possessive adjectives. At the end they will practice controlled speaking.

in this lesson students learn about the usage of for and since in present perfect tense. As I was informed, the students have an idea over this material I am going to use PPP method and keep the clarification part short to have more STT rather than TTT.

Intermediate level

In this lesson, students will focus on reading and connecting sentences in reference to <b>past</b> perfect, and <b>past</b> <b>simple</b>. The students will have a quick overview of the grammar and then move on to playing a fun controlled practice. However, towards the end I will let them have a freer practice with coming up with an ending to the story.

Writing

Intermediate, grade 5, a2 to b1 level

In this 90-minute period (2 successive sessions 45 minutes each) the learners are going to write about an adventure story. SS will revise some vocabulary related to the topic first, then they will start drafting and writing. the tense is both <b>past</b> <b>simple</b> and <b>past</b> continuous. Moreover, linking words and connectors related to the tense and topic like "when-while" will be covered.

In this lesson, students will review the fact that some verbs can be in the progressive (dynamic), and some verbs can't (stative). First, I will review action (dynamic) vs. stative verbs by eliciting from the class & writing on the WB. Then, I will link to the previous lesson by eliciting information about the people who were interviewed at the protest.
